Beth knew Justin from the age of 11, and they would often be competing or travelling to shows together. Beth’s didn’t restrict her talents to just showjumping, she was also Advanced Eventing and 3-day Eventing as well as showjumping up to 1.30m level.
When she was 21 she returned to the Tuff camp, which had now moved to Devon, for 3 months of training and to help Justin. She ended up staying a little longer than she had expected when she married Justin. Supporting Justin, her own showjumping career was put on hold when she gave birth to their son Oliver. Continuing to school and occasionally compete the horses in the yard, it has not been until recently, now that Oliver is attending school, that she has been able build up a team of horses.
Competing again, she has borrowed the ride of “China Girl” from Justin, consequently qualifying the young mare for the Foxhunter Regional’s 2009 and came 2nd (to Justin) in the Blue Chip Performance Qualifier. She is also competing a talented young horse “S.H. Bally Caretino”, a 5-year-old owned and bred by Annette Allen. Beth has hopes for the horse to qualify in the 6 year old Qualifiers and Newcomers Regional’s in 2009.
